Guest guest
Lori, Where in PA are you? Haven't had any hair thinning while on prednisone, personally, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is yet another horrible side effect of the drug. Guest guest
Lori, I haven't heard anything on Zyflo. Yes, I am loosing my hair on the top and front mainly but am noticing a lot on the sides. I started Armour Thyroid about 4 months ago and have noticed that I am not having it come out by the handfull now. Long term prednisone useage along with thyroid deficiency & menopause symptoms (47 & think I am going thru menopause)...a lethal combination!! I am about ready for a wig!! >LOL< Oh my...why did you leave sunny AZ for cold PA? NM
Guest guest
Billie, I think I am beyond mousse!! >LOL< A wig is in order very sooooooooonnnn... Just joking at the moment but if I lose much more, the wig will be a definite go!! )) NM

Guest guest
, How many times a year are you taking prednisone? I was thinking of creating a poll to see how often we as a group take it. I usually take the burst about twice a year but I am not noticing any hair loss. But after several months of coming off of it my bones are a wreck so I am sure in time it will affect my hair. Re: Zyflo, my allergist met with a Critical Therapeutics rep and Zyflo should be back on the market this spring. It will be a single timed release dosage instead of the 600mg dose 4x a day. Guest guest
, I take it all the time. Have been on prednisone for 33 years. The first 3 years were many bursts without any control (asthma & polyps) so they finally just put me on a daily regime. I was 18 when I went on daily prednisone. My bones are great!! Hair is horrible!! >LOL< It is really odd with all the prednisone I have taken. I never tried Zyflo but am hoping that I will tolerate it. I had bad side effects with Accolate and Singulair. Guest guest
Lori, Ah, sure wish that jobs were more plentiful out west. At least ones that paid well. I have always done better in AZ. Would love to move back there. it is amazing that there is such a difference just from state to state for me. Here I am a neighbor of AZ but I do better in AZ. I am not sure why the differnce. I remember several on the list saying that they did better in a warmer, lower climate too. I certainly hope that you get to feeling better soon and that if you can make it back to AZ, that it will be in the near future. NM
