Guest guest
Joan, thanks for posting this article. A couple years ago I had wounds that wouldn’t heal and I immediately thought of vitamin K. After blood tests I found that my Vit-K level was ok, but that my thyroid hormone T-3 was extremely low which was causing my metabolism to shut down. During my research of Vit-K I found a number of current long-term research studies linking bleeding to aspirin and Vit-K. One study of aspirin and brain bleeding actually categorized brain-bleeding occurrences based on aspirin dosage: mild, medium and heavy. It also categorized the results based on age groups. From this study a person over the age of 60 that takes a high dosage of aspirin had the greatest occurrences of brain bleeds. So it might be advisable for those who are taking medium to high dosages of aspirin to add Vit-K to their regular blood testing. Re: vitamin K and aspirin? Guest guest
Thanks . I’m going to ask for a Vit K test. I’m also on antibiotics which apparently deplete Vit K as well. Brain bleeds sound like something to be avoided if at all possible. On Jun 26, 2011, at 3:14 PM, Ekren wrote: > Joan, thanks for posting this article.
