Guest guest
Sandy, Please be careful with this. Taking this much Diflucan can cause damage to the liver. I took a month supply myself, several years back, thinking it would kill all the crap that is going on inside me and I am sorry to say that it didn't do anything. I was very desperate, and after reading every book trying to figure out what I had and how to fix it, I was sure this would work. I'm sorry to be a downer, but it didn't work for me...maybe for you...??? Guest guest
I think the liver issue is one reason doctors hesitate to prescribe these probiotics readily. They can be safe if the patient drinks enough water and follows the right diet . . .But I don't think doctors want to spend much time educating patients, or believe patients will follow instructions if they do. The Maker's Diet will accomplish the same thing - in a very healthy way. Rogene <waltjenking@...> wrote: Sandy, Please be careful with this. Taking this much Diflucan can cause damage to the liver. Guest guest
It did work very well for me and this treatment is recommended by my ND. Diflucan can be hard on your liver but Sporanox, another anti-fungal is much harder. If an anti-fungal drug is needed, Diflucan and Ketoconazle are the top choices. Diflucan will help jumpstart killing the candida. You will still need to follow an anti-candida diet otherwise the candida will flourish once again. , if Diflucan didn't work for you, you may be resistant to it. There are lab tests that can done to see if this is indeed true. Ketoconazole may be a better anti-fungal choice for you. Kenda > Sandy, > > Please be careful with this. Guest guest
Thanks Kenda...I will print this out and check into it when I'm ready to do this. I don't think, at the time, I stuck to a Candida free diet. I don't eat sugar now...I only use splenda and I'm eating much healthier. Perhaps I'll try again. I know one thing....I paid $20.00 a pill for the Difulcan. I wish I had Insurance! Guest guest
, Diflucan has a generic now, I think it's about $1.00 per pill. Since my ND prescribes mine, it isn't covered by insurance either. Do you know whether or not Splenda feeds candida? I would think it does since it is like sugar. All natural sugars feed candida as well, including fruits. The candida diet is pretty strict. I don't follow it but I do eat very healthfully and minimize even natural sugars. Guest guest
Kenda, That is nice to know...I mentioned how expensive this is to the doctor and she didn't even mention that there was a generic...that's amazing. I don't think so...Slenda has no sugar in it....unless you buy the baking splenda which is mixed with sugar. However, I would like to look into that further. What do you use for a sweetener for drinks or baking? I mainly use the Splenda to help me with my 50 lb weight gain. I'm doing WW and have lost 20lbs but have more to go. I would like to find out though because I want to get the candida taken care of once and for all. If you find anything out, please let me know. Guest guest
Hi , I just researched Splenda and it is not allowed on a candida diet. Here is a blurb I cut out for you: 8. Can I use Splenda? No. It's still sweet and the candida will thrive on its sweetness. Splenda is made from sugar. Yes, I know it's been used successfully for diabetics for years, that it is ok for hypoglycemic patients, that it doesn't affect blood glucose levels, etc. Yes, this is true. But remember that this is a diet for CANDIDA sufferers, and if you feed the candida something that TASTES SWEET, you are encouraging the yeast proliferation. Aspartame, while it has its own list of reasons to NOT use it, is " permitted " on this program because it does not encourage yeast growth. You decide. And in the meantime, learn about STEVIA!!!! I would steer clear of any sweeteners except stevia. Aspartame is bad news. I don't bake except for holiday gatherings. I don't keep any sweets in the house because having them here means that someone will eat them. I pretty much a health food junkie. Congratulations on your weight loss! Guest guest
- You're more likely to get a generic if you ask the pharmacist . . my insurance requires the pharmacist to give me a generic if one is available . . . Otherwise the pharmacist doesn't get paid. Most docs don't have a clue about the cost of drugs. . . .Many have free samples on hand - but you may have to ask for them. Also, the drug companies provide FREE meds for those who can't afford them (this is mainly for maintenance drugs) . . .You have to go online to the drug manufacturer and fill out forms to qualify. Some doc will help with this. Rogene
Guest guest
Jen, Please get off the Splenda! Rather than give you my reasons for not consuming it, I'll give you better information to read yourself. Suffice it to say that if you are trying to detoxify, Splenda throws a wrench in that effort. http://www.mercola.com/2000/dec/3/sucralose_dangers.htm http://www.mercola.com/2001/jun/23/chlorine.htmPatty Re: Group Kenda, That is nice to know...I mentioned how expensive this is to the doctor and she didn't even mention that there was a generic...that' s amazing. Guest guest
What should I use as a sweetener for coffee and stuff? Guest guest
Once you go sugar free for a while, you'll find that sweets are so sweet they're icky! It's the yeasties that make you crave sweets. Once you get where you want to be, you can use small amounts of honey, real maple syrup and molassas. A friend uses apple juice to sweeten coffee. . . I use molassas whem I make whole wheat bread - yummy! Rogene

Guest guest
I know, stevia is not a perfect substitute...I have had issues with the aftertaste sometimes as well, so I only use it in certain foods. But SweetLeaf stevia has the least aftertaste out of all the stevias I have used. http://www.wisdomnaturalbrands.com/category.php?subcat=brands & subpage=sweetleaf The other options are xylitol, which my holistic dentist recommends for coffee and tea. It has a protective effect against cavities. I also use raw honey. For baking, I use Sucanat, (which is SUgar CAne NATural.) Of course, the best thing to do is cut down on sugar as much as possible, and use sparingly! Guest guest
Sandy,, With only two bowel movements a week, you're carrying a lot of stuff around that shouldn't be there. The coffee enemas aren't to help with consipation . . . you want to be "unplugged" before doing one of them. For surefire constipation relief, I'd step up your intake of a Calcium/Magnesium supplement until you're no longer constipated. Ideally you should have one bowel movement for every meal you eat. . . It's no wonder you look pregnant and feel foggy! Promise me you'll get started today! Rogene
Guest guest
Sandy, Please don't believe that God is punishing you now. I just don't think that He is like that. It is so easy to be down on ourselves and think that we deserve this suffering for the choice we made. But we don't deserve our suffering for our choice any more than any other patient deserves to suffer for the failings of the medical system. We listened to them, and we are suffering the consequences of misplaced trust. But that is not God's punishment! God cries over our suffering too. I agree that it should be against the law to allow the medical field to poison us this way. But the government doesn't see it the same way. They are protecting interests and allowing women "free choice" to do what they want with their bodies, much like we have free choice to poison our bodies with alcohol, cigarettes and over the counter drugs. You can do things to help yourself, Sandy. Some of the most important things you can do are to help your body in its elimination. Having several bowel movements a day is the goal. If you are not, then you should take steps to make that happen, through increased fiber intake, enemas or colonics, and supplements, such as Vitamin C and magnesium in high dosages. I know it must be so difficult for your son to see you this way. And I know you want to be a good mommy to him. And I know you want to get those capsules out...It amazes and upsets me that your doctor took your implants out through your armpit! That is just not the right way to do it! There has to be some doctor somewhere who will take those capsules out. I wonder if you can get some assistance through some sort of pro bono work....have you contacted Dr. Zuckerman in Washington DC to see what information she has to offer for assistance? Patty Group I am calling my doctor in the morning and see if I had a liver function test done Maybe my memory/thinking is not the best When I start something I give up right away If I do not see or think it's working I am in big trouble with my health right now i just noticed I am only taking a bowl movement, maybe twice a week. When I do it's very little I am also very very constipated I am sorry but I cannot give myself an enema and I am afraid to put any type of meds in my body It is very difficult for me to keep up with all of you There's so much we need to do to get well again I do not know where to begin It's overwhelming being this ill I always feel like I am going to say the wrong thing I was never like this before So if I say something that does not make sense please forgive me, I think I am being poisoned by my own body I go to sleep and nobody can wake me up The fatigue pulls me under, I cannot get up I know how scary this is for my son That alone is taking it's toll on me My child seeing mom so sick I am scared for my life I wish I never purchased those stupid implants I am still paying for them in a very BIG way I was pretty the way God made me I think he is punishing me now There are woman here that are in touch with their own bodies .... Obviously I am not I don't know where my body is anymore for that matter!! This should be against the law to allow the medical field to poison us like this My doctors cannot help me I am so sick of being sick Sorry for dumping again I know most of you are very sick also I will think of a new name for Safe Saline Implants These test were taken a few months ago 1. MSH test results 35 to 81 > #24 2. Thyroid\TSH Test 0.788 3. Candida Test 1.25 __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Sandy, The green in the urine could be an overproduction of bile. Bile is green. This has to do with the liver and the gallbladder. You sound very plugged up and sluggish. It sounds like you could use a very good cleanse! Have you thought about doing the Master Cleanse? Guest guest
A little RAW honey should be OK unless you have a raging Fungal problem . . . Then, ALL sugars should be avoided - even those in fruit. Fortunately, if you stick to a good antifungal diet for a few weeks, you should be able to add a little natural (not refined) sugar back in your diet. I had an ear that acted up within 24 hours of eating sweets - Once that cleared up, I have a hard time telling when I overdo it.
