Guest guest
Hi Guys, I too refer to Prednisone as my miracle drug. I know without it, I would have died of asthma so I am grateful even with the double edged sword. Prior to first taking it, I had been on different 7 antibiotics w/i 6 weeks and could no longer stand up for weakness. Anyway, here are a couple of FYIs which may have been covered on this site over and over but in case folks don't know (as I didn't): Daily aspirin depletes our vitamin C levels by up to 50% which is partly why we bruise so easily. Lack of C also weakens your immune system. If you take C, take " Ester C " which is more protective of the stomach. I now take 500mg/daily and it has really helped with the bruising. With prednisone, your body dumps calcium, weakening the bones. Calcium Citrate is easy on the stomach and more absorbable but with it you need D and magnesium for uptake. I use the rule all of the above always with Food. Liz --- <soniarobins@...> wrote: > Oh yes the side affects they don’t often tell you > about.
