I will definitely try the frog kick. Thanks for the idea. I'm always looking for new exercises and sometimes I just experiment and see what feels right. There is a lady that swims at the same time as me that uses the mask and snorkel. A doctor told her to do it. Sometimes she runs into people because she can't see them with her head in the water. I always try to watch for her and stay out of her way. I understand her need to do this. Joan

I have incorporated your side of the pool excercises and i think there is an added advantage.I dont know how to do the pelvic tilt however. My swimming is with a mask and snorkel as arching my back to breath excacerbates my back pain but this method doesnt. Also iuse the frog kick but at the end of the kick I forcefully end the kick by very strongly holding the legs together so ifeel the gluten muscles,I do 30 lapes which is about 800 kicks four times a week.It is the best thing I have found so far

The neurologist had me buy a walker with a seat. I use it to wash dishes and do other kitchen tasks. Also I use it anytime I know I'm going to be somewhere that doesn't have seats for me to use. For instance, I made sure I carried it with me to vote recently. I wasn't sure how long the line would be. I can't stand for very long. Joan

I can't remember if it is in a Carol s catalog or a Dr Lenards catalog. but I have seen a three legged stool with rollers and a seat that you can sit on the seat, but still be in a standing up position and walk around as needed, but still take weight off your hips and legs. Something like that or even just a bar stool tall enough to be able to sit and stir stuff on the stove should be of help.Debbie and Ian McKinley (BMD since 93)no litters Kansas http://home. hit.net/~ dimck/http://www.flickr. com/photos/ dimck23/ (200 carting photo)
