Advantages of Facebook I'd say is that it could be easier to follow but then comments on different topics could get lost with so many to cover.

Disadvantages though would be total lack of privacy which would concern me.

Thanks Sergiu!

I agree , though I'm happy to support the facebook page, and feel it is worth having both sites/groups - I'd rather post on here about my issues as I'm wary of privacy issues, but am happy to support the facebook page.

The website has always been a place for facts mostly.  Maybe it wouldn't be a bad thing to have somewhere to post about the other side of Samters...like everyday effects that the disease has on us.  Years ago when I joined the Samters group it was ok to get a little emotional, but over the years it has become mostly a factual site...which is fine.  Facebook could offer a place to vent the day to day things of Samters.  There are days I could use a little encouragement from people who understand:)  I agree that it would be a great place to get the word out about Samters too.  The only way people find the Samters group on is if they google it....Facebook offers up a whole new audience.  Tami

Did the facebook page actually get started? I can't seem to find it. I would

love to have a place that others could see what day to day life is like for

those of us who suffer with this disease. Here on this group we gets alot of

factual info from others and that is so awesome but on FB we would be able to

post quick day to day issues and just knowing that others know what we are going

through is some comfort. I really get so so tired of people telling me they

understand because they get hay fever or have allergies too. Samters is all

together different and only those really close to us know how it plays a huge

part on our day to day lives and how it can be so debilitating.
