There is in principle no link between Samter's and kidney stones.

Oxalate stones result essentially from food and drink. Have your blood and urine

oxalate levels checked, avoid oxalate-rich or oxalate-forming foods, drink a

fair amount of water that is not too high in minerals, etc. and recheck later.

As mentioned in another post, magnesium, moderate vitamin Bs, yoghurt (calcium -

calcium+oxalate precipitate in the gut and exit in the faeces) can help. There

is a standard diet for oxalate kidney stones patients and your nephrologist

should have given you a memo about this.

have been told i might need to do the desensitizing.I have also had numerous

kidney stones and i was told they were the oxcylate(spelling) kind which are the

most common and i was wondering if there was any link between the stones and the

samters.Any info would be deeply appreciated since i am new to this. Will update

I don't believe there is a link between Samters and kidney stones. If you drink

cranberry juice...stop! I have a friend who used to get kidney stones until he

stopped drinking cranberry juice.

Here is some info for you:
