Guest guest
Neena, We had almost the same issue with my son this week. We were set to start chelating today and he got sick with a cold w/fever on Tuesday. Luckily, the fever went away on Wednesday, but, he still had a runny nose and a cough, so, we called his DAN doctor yesterday and he said to go ahead today, but, he doesn't have a fever, so, it's not quite the same. Sorry, I couldn't be of more help. Nina Garza <ngarza@...> wrote:

He says that chelation is a strain on the body and not to do it when the child is sick. We are going to start again in a few days. Love, Sheela. Guest guest
Andy Cutler once told me that DMSA can cause neutropenia, which is a reduction in the number of white blood cells, which fight off infection. I definitely would stop the chelation cycle if my child were ill. > In a message dated 11/17/00 3:20:01 PM Central Standard Time, aka@m... > writes: > > > Ben was sick last week with a fever, and our doctor said to stop. Guest guest
Dr Boris told me it was ok to skip chelation last weekend, as my son was recovering from a ear infection. He usually stays pretty healthy despite attending pre-school. (probably due to the good diet and supplements.) This was the first ear infection he had since he was around 15 months old. I believe the chelation left him unable to fight the bug that was being passed around, so it was very interesting reading about chelation affecting the white blood cells. I hope this wont turn out to be a problem this winter!
Guest guest
Hi Tamara, My orthotist told me to keep the band off, if the child has a fever! Guest guest
Take the helmet off ASAP. If it runs over 100 you need to take it off. , 's mom Southern California --- slg_corazon <slg_corazon@...> wrote: > Is the helmet supposed to stay on if the child is > running a fever? > Novali is running a fever of 101.0 to 102.0. > > Tamara > > __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Go ahead and leave it off while Novali has a fever. Marci (mom to ) Oklahoma
Guest guest
Tamara I would leave the helmet off until the fever is gone. The head is one way that the body regulates its temperature. If Novali gets a fever that high again you might try a tepid sponge bath to bring it down in a jiffy!
