Guest guest
I also experience eye problems. By night time my vision is considerably worse than day time. I went to the eye doctor twice within a two week period and my vision had changed. The eye doc was amazed by this. This was before I was on all the meds I'm on now. My ENT told me many years ago that Samters/inflammation couldn't cause the change in my vision on a daily basis, and he showed me the model of the eye and said that the eye is protected from the inflammation. All I know is that my vision has changed considerably on a daily basis since I've had polyp problems. Only if it says D, does it contain a decongestant. Try some Afrin. That works for me. Melinda 29: 11 " For I know the plans I have for you " , says the Lord. I have taken sinus sachets in a drink that contain this along with paracetamol and something else for a cough?! lol. That has hit the spot within 30 mins but needs taking every 4-6 hrs. It was a bit better yesterday until the evening and then it hit me full force again and had to sleep sitting up as I couldn’t breath lying down. I have no idea if it is available in the UK! The NeilMed rinse or some other sinus rinse should really help. The watery discharge could also be “leftovers” from having irrigated. I know before I had my ethmoidectomy, saline would get stuck up there and then run out at random. Now I actually hang my head upside down, either by doing yoga or simply touching my toes, to help drain my sinuses after irrigation. And the other benefit of this is I can actually touch the floor now! I’ve been using an antihistamine nasal spray when I get really stuffy, that has also really helped. My allergist suggested that. I only use it when I need to. Decongestants are an option but I avoid them. They dry me out so bad they make me nauseous and I personally don’t think drying out the sinuses is very good for them (based on how stuffy I can get in the winter when it is dry!). Good luck! K. It has got worse the past few days and in my forehead to so think it's actually a shot at sinusitis. Hope this doesn't bring them on again.I forever live in fear of those polyps. Muxinex sounds good - Is this American? Can it be obtained in the UK? Yea my discharge is mainly watery but have getting thicker stuff out too. Also, try Muxinex, it will thin out any thick mucus. It may not be polyps but just congestion that you need to get cleared out. I have been having some of the watery discharge lately, I think it is more weather related than anything. It stops once I get a big glob of goo out, which usually only comes out with irrigation. This week is definitely worse. Constant watery discharge today and a blocked feeling in my right nostril that makes me feel like I am in the middle of a heavy cold. The only relief I find from this is lying on my left side propped up half lying and then it clears completely so I can breath. Nothing comes out except the water. Damn no thick discharge. That means the litte bugaz are back :-( I almost reached 4 years without polyps since my last surgery. I feel all depressed now :-( Going to have to wait months like this until I have surgery. I have updosed my nasonex from the 2 sprays once a day to twice a day. So this may reduce them a bit. Any know know of anything else that can relieve the intense pressure? Sorry to moan - just gets me down that we all have to suffer like this :-( Reply to sender | Reply to group | Reply via web post | Start a New Topic Messages in this topic (67) Recent Activity: New Members 3 Visit Your Group MARKETPLACE Find useful articles and helpful tips on living with Fibromyalgia.
