Guest guest
I have seen two orthos and two pain management. Had three mris, two sets of xrays, ct scan, 2 bone scans, 2 emgs, ssep, and I am getting a new set of xrays for my hip area cause these were all just spine. Had spinal blocks on L5, S1- great results SI joint – no effect and second had the flare Piriformis injection – so so results Epidural – no help Pt – three times, twice it felt nice to get the massages but cant say any of the pt actually helped. …can you not feel pain because of the injury to your neck? That certainly sounds serious! Or you just didn’t have those symptoms? LOL – yes getting out of bed is actually one of the most painful things for me!! LOL- who would have thought. I have to prop myself up on my elbows to roll little bits at a time til I am on side and can bring legs over and then roll off bed. I even have to slide to side and then put one leg down to get out of the car. Very practiced slow movements. How did they know your neck injury was from your car accident? I am starting another pain journal – I did one for a long time and then stopped. My dr asked to have it but it hasn’t seemed to make any difference so far but I do think I should start another one. I DO know I feel more pain two days after any exercise. Leg exercises always provoked more pain before my flair. Now of course any exercise causes more pain. JP RE: depression.... Jen What kind of treatment have you had? I went to my doctor and all she did was ask me where I got the injury to my arm at and I told her I didn't know. She asked me how in the world can you not know. I told her I could not feel pain in my hands and arms. That is when they found the neck injury. Then went to PT and it was making matters worst, so then they found the Lumbar injury. The center was cause when I went back to work. Now can't work. Have you had MRIs done? X-Rays? Ther are all kinds of tests out there. Go to a Orthopedic. Stop and think really hard about what is going on in your body. Do you have numbness? Do you not feel pain in areas of your body? What are you doing at the time the pain gets worst? Find out what you can do without adding to your pain and what does add to your pain. Do you have headaches? Do your legs hurt, and so forth. Sit down and start writing it all down. Every little thing means something that can help the doctor help you. You also have to be very careful about doing thing, even just getting out of bed can cause you harm. -- No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
You know I always had a cat...then I got a husband who is allergic to cats - deathly allergic....so no cat. But I remember telling ALL my thoughts to my cat and he seemed to sense when I needed his comfort. Too bad a fish doesn’t sit in your lap and purr! JP Sigh - they do not say that much but they sure love me regardless. -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Yes for an entire month after the accident I couldn't even move my left arm, but doctor just blew it off. Had terrible headaches off and on. They found four disc in my neck crushing my spinal cord, when my doctor (a new one) ask about the injury on my arm. I had as much as my doctor said he could repair, later when I haven't some medical insurance or something I want to have more looked into. Still having a lot of pain at the base of my skull. They also found the injury in the lumbar. After I had surgery, I had to go back to work after 7 weeks or lose my job, which was too soon. Second I injuried myself again in my center back after I went back to work. My doctor had a fit. She said NO MORE WORK, you are just doing more damage. I am finally getting a settlement in about a month, it isn't much but more then I have at this time. Can you email me private and send me your number, I would love to talk to you. jasonsstorm@.... Tonight if possible or tomorrow. Take care and try not to get mad, I know it is hard. I have a temper that you wouldn't believe. jen <jennybonner13@...> wrote: I have seen two orthos and two pain management. Guest guest
Wow! I am glad you are getting something from the accident. I had some sciatica after one accident about 7 yrs ago (a 93 yr old man hit from behind and never even attempted to stop – I was sitting at a stop light) but I didn’t sign right on with a dr and get treated and they told me you will get nothing and then I called a friend that is a lawyer and said – what if this is something serious and he said because I didn’t get immediate and constant treatment I couldn’t do anything about it. So that may be when it started. But I actually rather go thru my insurance company cause when I did want to go see someone – they had to make the appt and it was so much jumping thru hoops I finally gave up – it wasn’t worth it. I am headed to bed. And tomorrow going to see the new dr. Hopefully that will help. I will email you off group. Jen RE: depression..-.. Jen What kind of treatment have you had? Guest guest
Jen Thanks, I am for bed as well, in terrible pain tonight that I am shaking so bad afraid to walk. When you get home, email me and I'll call you. Good luck tomorrow and I hope you get some answers but sounds to me like the accident did it. I am getting settlement for work injury. 23 years is too long to go back to insurance company for accident. Thanks for the support and for caring. Later Wow! Guest guest
I think if it is your spouse that is in pain, it doesn't matter if you ever went through the same pain as them, just seeing them in pain and suffering is enough for you to know and sympathize. Barbara Megwin <Ravenfeather@...> wrote: I think it is very difficult to sympathize with anyone unless that pain or that depression has been felt by that person himself. I do not know of a way to make anyone understand how I feel unless they once had the same experiences - maybe someone else has some suggestions. I found that most people (friends, family or coworkers) would rather not listen to anything that is bad, sad or hurts.
