Guest guest
I got to see my ENT today...not the one who operated on me back in June, but the main ENT for the area i live in...and he said my sinuses have NO polyps! I saw my sinuses too, and even my frontals are crystal clear and smooth...all looks good apart from inflamation and some nasty crusy bits, but that's about as good as I can hope for I guess! He seems to think that my polyps have 'run their course' and feels I may never have them again or need sinus surgery again! I should be hopping with joy, and I am very pleased, but I am also very cautious, as i still have inflamation and infections and sinus pain and have to rinse my sinuses out daily and still use all my meds...but this is great news! i am very pleased at least that my operation back in June was worth it, and that it worked...so far! He wanted to discharge me and not see me again, btu I said i wanted to see him again in 6 months time as a precaution...I got the impression he thought I was being fussy/needy...but honestly...it's not surprising really considering my history! Is it?? My sos and sense of taste are of course nowhere to be seen/enjoyed. Also, i safely managed to re-desense myself with no side effects following my leg surgery last week, thankfully :-) Becky
Guest guest
Becky, That is amazing news!!!! No polyps after that many months. My sinuses got opacified in months or less. Is there really such thing as the polyps running their coarse? I don't get many in my maxilary sinuses anymore. In fact, my problem is less polyps and more mucosal thickening. Did you have any thickening or was that good too? Did you try the Vit D3 to see if it helps with your sense of smell? I don't blame you at all for not wanting to be taken off his patient list. 8 months is not long enough to say you're cured. You should feel very optimistic though. I think I'll have to try and visualize your description of your sinuses. It sounds so wonderful. Guest guest
Thank you Tami...I have had mucosal thickening before, but he didn't say there was any yesterday. I have just started up again with my Vit D3 after a break - i must give it a better go! Thank you for your support.
