Hi ,

Your last paragraph echos my feelings exactly. This site is so useful, I can't

image where would be now without some of tips we picked up from here.

It sounds as if you and your husband have really been through it. I hope things

start to improve soon.

I don't know anything about the antibiotics but I know there is someone out

there that will be able to answer your question. However your description of

problems post surgery got me thinking.

After one of his surgeries started to develop a lump on the side of nose

about level with his eye. It is clear that this is a hole through which the

polyps bulge out and it becomes increasing large when his polyps are bad. It

has been CT'd and the surgeon says is nothing to worry about, it is caused by

the polyps eating the bone (very reassuring!). The surgeon performed at least

part of the surgery through this hole last time. I believe this is the thing

which concerns most, although as with your husband he does not say

much as he know I worry enough for both of us. does not suffer from the

sinus infections so many of you out there seem to have. He has no sense of

smell. He tries to avoid surgery except as a very last resort when he can't

breath through his nose at all and therefore can't irrigate effectively if at

all. Unfortunately the first couple of surgeries were done before we discovered

this site or knew what this condition would involve. The URL should be part of

the presciption when the inital diagnosis is made.

Does anyone else out there have this type of thing? Does anyone have any

comments/suggestions/advice?
