The dose to keep you desensitized is different than the dose to treat. I

was on 1300 milligrams a day for seven years ... if this helps answer your

question. That was the dose Scripps told me to take.

I've never heard of this, but my understanding is that the higher the aspirin dose (to a point) the better control over the disease. Many people, even though desensitized, can't tolerate aspirin at all, or can tolerate very little. But I know many people are desensitized with 650mg 2x day, so I think if you are increasing your dose by only a small amount you should be fine, especially if it helps with your symptoms.
