Guest guest
Hello all, My insurance company just denied my request to go to Scripps clinic for desensitization. They said it was it was a investigational treatment. I just had sinus surgery and they found really bad polyps. I would like to do Desensitization ASAP and am looking for someone in Washington State. I'd love to hear from the person who saw a doctor in Spokane? I live in Seattle but would gladly travel to avoid regrowth. It has already been 1 month since surgery and all my symptoms are back. thanks to all, best, tikka
Guest guest
Tikka, Of course insurance companies will deny requests whenever they can. I say, appeal, appeal, appeal. Gather evidence from clinical trials that they've done on aspirin desensitization and asthma or get someone to do it for you. Try to present the case to your insurance that doing the aspirin desensitization could reduce your chances of having to have surgery again. Insurance companies automatically turn down a certain percentage of clais, and sometimes you just have to play the game until they get tired of you. You definitely have the right to appeal. Maybe your doctor or even Scripps can help with this. This information is on our aspirin desensitization facility database, if you didn't find it already: Steve Kernerman, Spokane Allergy Clinic (509) 747-1624 Spokane WA USA Lori
