Because of my problems with aspirin I can’t use gel

products such as Voltaren or Deep Heat but have been told of a product ‘Rapigel’

(veterinary product) that is extremely efficient for muscle aches in humans as

well and doesn’t contain aspirin. I’ve done a check and can’t

seem to find anywhere on the label where it contains aspirin. Would anyone

know if it definitely does or doesn’t?

According to Virbac's site, it is an essential oil gel (see below). It does not contain aspirin or NSAIDS at all, but it still contains menthol (20mg/g), camphor (6,25mg/g) and isopropyl alcohol (350mg/g) ; menthol and camphor may be allergizing in some persons ; a number of us are sensitive to menthol, I think. You might just as well use any essential oil compound for human use, just to be able to complain after if you experience a problem - which you would not be able to do with a veterinary product. Most important, test it (or any human-use equivalent) on a patch of skin a couple of times several days in advance before you use it, just to make sure the alcohol or menthol or camphor won't allergize. Also, avoid breathing the gel from too close or rubbing it on the face, you could get some absorbed through the nasal mucosa or lungs, and it would also hurt your eyes.-----------------Product Description
