Tha Earth,whose elemental substance is Rock,makes the PIPE. The Plant,Tobacco is the sacrificial victim. The Animal is symbolized by Feathers and tegument appended to the Stem,PIPE and STEM. Considered in it's totality,the smoking represents man's relationships to his Maker, To the world, to the Plants, To the Animals, And to his fellow Man; in another sense,it is a petition and a thank's giving. In each of the acts that make up the entire ceramony,the smoking is considered to be a symbolic declaration of the beliefs and understandings about life,Death,and Living. The substance used~~ Tobacco~~is the sacrificial victim,incense,and offering,all at the same time.In the immolation of the leaf,is the tangibale demonstration and being. Spiritual freedom is my birthright. I am a free thinker. I am able to rise above mental prejudices and stereotypes of others. I am a free thinker. Nobody and nothing can manipulate me or deceive me. I am a free thinker. I freely choose truth and love.
