Here is a very technical article on it.

http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=544172

I am trying to absorb the information .

Samters and Athlete's Foot

I remember seeing an article expressing a correlation between Samters and Athlete's foot.

Can;t remember where or when and I didn't see it in the archives.

Has anyone else seen it?

FWIW, I did have a pretty bad athlete's foot infection once. Anyone else?

That is quite a technical article. I don't think it's relating it to

Samter's specifically but more asthma in general.

In any case I have to wonder if probiotics would help protect against

something like this ... at least a recurrence of it. Probiotics can

be very effective as an antifungal and there have been some

scientific studies done of probiotics in certain settings.

In any case I can't make too much heads or tails of the article but

it is 2 in the morning. <g>
