Guest guest
Well, I have been upping my doses (at home) every 3 days and as of Saturday, I am at 320 mg. The strongest reaction came at 160 mg. Since then, one other slight reaction of congestion, but nothing as strong as before. I would be upping my dose tomorrow to 640 mg but we are going fishing out on the ocean and I don't want to be out there to find myself having a very strong reaction, though I don't think I will. I will increase my dose on Monday to 640 mg. That will be a total of 11 days to go from 40 mg to 640 mg. So far, I have only used prednisone twice. I would not have had the courage to do this at home if it weren't for the support of a few people here, sharing their experiences and Becky for really keeping in close touch with me via email. It was reassuring. I never intended to do this process at home. After what happened to me, being told to take 40 mg a day for a month, I just could not accept that I suffered so terribly for NOTHING and once I determine to do something, I do it. I do not recommend anyone to do this at home, at least for the first time. I took a chance with serious risk and so far it has worked out ok. Medical supervision is best.
