Guest guest
I have a sinus infection that tests resistant to almost all antibiotics except floroquinalones. I can't tolerate Levaquin at all, had to give up something called Factive after 4 days, and now have been put on Cipro. After several days I am completely weak and debilitated. Side effects do include peripheral neuropathy, which I guess can be irreversible. This is about the 7th or 8th antibiotic I've been put on, my symptoms aren't much better, and I'm feeling sort of desperate to get rid of the infection -- at the same time I don't want to permanently damage my health in other ways. I was thinking I had a question about whether to stay on the Cipro longer, but in writing this I think I'm probably going to have to quit it. Any suggestions for other ways to get rid of an antibiotic resistant bacterial infection? Thanks, Joan
