Hello Everyone,

For those who have had a Laminectomy, I would like to find out all about it. I

am scheduled for that on Oct.14th. I sure am worried, as I haven't been put to

sleep since my last daughter was born, and she is 47.How long did you have to

stay in the hosp, and did it hurt really really bad and it did it take away your

pain??? I can stand the back pain better then the leg pain, my legs are killing

me and I hurt so bad when I walk, which I barely can do anymore. How long did it

take for you to get back to normal? Any information about this surgery will be

greatly appreciated. God Bless

I'd like to know as well. Since the spinal epidurals didn't work (L3-L4-L5) and

now they are doing a temporary treatment that injects the medication to the

nerves themselves (in a hope I can do physical therapy), my neurologist is

already talking Laminectomy. I an an ACDF in 2008 for spinal cord impingement

due to a disk and cervical stenosis. Now we're moving to the lumbar stenosis.

Pain in indescribable which is part of the problem and I can hardly walk for

more than 10 mins...and forget any kind of incline.
