500mg Ecotrin?

I was in my local pharmacy this past week getting a new supply of

enteric coated aspirin and saw that in addition to the 325mg and 81mg

stuff it now comes in 500mg. Has anyone used it yet?

About a year ago, my allergist consulted with Dr. Simon at Scripps and

thought I should increase to 975mg a day. To be honest, I never got

around to going up to that dosage. However, there are times I think I

should. After I saw the 500mg ecotrin, I thought this would be an easy

way to do it - 500mg in the morning and 500mg at night.

Any thoughts?

PS: When I left Scripps, I was doing a total of 1300mg daily. I'm now

doing 1/2 of that.

When you go up in daily dosage, do you do

it gradually or simply double it, as we did in the desens?
