I wonder is anyone here knowledgable on iodine supplementation?

I have been recommended to use the colloidal detoxified iodione as sold on www.voicebio.com

but I have read a little about a few others , such as Lugols iodine, and the edgar cayce atomodine..

Does anyone here supplement with iodine or have any links to some further info.

I am doing my own research as well of course.

thank you

HI

I do have the lugols iodine, I put a few drops in my

bath water. also put some drops on my neck, what this

does it strengthens the thyroid and gives it a boost,

if the iodine disappears you know its going through

your skin, if it doesn't, well you dont need as much.

I dont do this everyday, but usually if I'm feeling

run down I do, and it works great when having a sore

throat or cold.

I do the same with the regular iodine when I didnt

have the lugols. This something that my husbands

naturalpathic doc told him to do as well.

I dont take iodine pills and wouldnt recommend it, but

kelp supplements and dulce are good....seaweed family

foods...in healthfood stores like buying nori rolls

and wackami, there are all sorts of sea weeds to eat,

putting into miso soups and just eating with rice, and

soy sauce.

Blessings,

Michele

Thank you Michele!!! Excellent information to be put in the files. Van, I hope this helps. I like to eat dried sea kelp, especially when I start craving sodium, although that's rare. I cook with Dead Sea salts and sometimes soak in it.

I just got back home, as I played chauffer again for Dad. :-) We went to the country, and I do mean country, where he was raised and saw some family members. It was a wonderful day, and I enjoyed it very much. I think Dad did too, but being 84, it reminds him of all those he loved who has crossed over.

you are welcome,

My favorite is dulce, it's the red seaweed that tastes

real sweet, and its great in salads.

Glad you had a nice day with your dad, nothing like a

ride to the country to perk up the spirits!

Blessings,

Michele

hi joy,

In the daze of the late '70's, you could get dulce in

bulk, and it was not so expensive, they even had

little bits of barnicals (sp?) on them, so you'd have

to wash real good.

Dulce means candy in spanish.

Now days you can get it in a package at the health

food store.

delicioso!

Yes I put iodine on my skin frequently----can't tolerate it internally

though. I use it rectally for the fungus which seems to help for a

week or so and it comes right back again. I should be getting enough

iodine (maybe even too much) as I put enough of it on my skin.
