Guest guest Posted March 5, 2006 Report Share Posted March 5, 2006 Hi Josh, It is an interesting subject this one - I fully believe that you are sincere and that natural healing is often successful - I have been a proponent of holistic health for over 30 years. But you have to be careful with generalising - for example I gave natural methods 5 years of my life with ZERO effect and I can assure you that not everyone of those practitioners was incompetent - acupuncture (one of the most respected in Australia) naturopathy, kinesiology, chiropractic, osteopathic, herbalists including Chinese medicine, diet regimes, fasting, you name it............By the way, I continue to eat organically as I have always done and to use natural health in my daily life - I am not a person who became sick because of the usual bad lifestyle habits in the first place. I think many people here have given much time and faith to holistic healing only to find it has been inadequate for this particular " syndrome " . In my opinion the practitioner who has real overview and can inspire confidence in a person who is really very ill is a rare bird! If you are one of those then what a great thing for your clients! When I was first told my t-cells were about 800 and then I went to a healthier diet and herbs and rebounding etc.and in 3 months my T-cells went to over 1000 and all I know was that my doctor was thrilled BECAUSE they went UP.And if I have ever had an allergy attact or any thing bad they went down. For over the last 5 yrs.they have remained over 1200 if not 1500 and I'm as healthy as a horse.I have NEVER taken Any drugs of any kind for any reason and don't plan on it.Harvard is now studing me to find out why I'm so healthy.I have been totoaly vegan now for almost a yr.and it has continued to bless my health. thanks a Re: Natural Healing Ed, I think that you are the exception to the rule but let's find out! 1. Some health issues relating to digestion. don't count CD4s. Don't have a vegan diet. Don't rebound. But I am active and eat relatively well though I don't avoid all toxins. Sick almost never.
