Anticholinergic effects of benadryl

Benadryl may not be the best choice for an antihistamine due to it's potential long term neurological effects ie cognitive impairment ,Alzheimer's etc. that may result from it's anticholinergic action.Also I wouldn't support it's use as a sleeping medication.
