Wolf fact: Wolves develop close relationships and strong social bonds. They often demonstrate deep affection for their family and may even sacrifice themselves to protect the family unit.

Hi Joyce,

The snow has started to fall in Alaska. Forty-six gunners have already received permits to shoot wolves from airplanes - and the first wolf could be killed any day.

Save wolves this holiday season - adopt a wolf from Defenders of Wildlife to protect a wolf in Alaska today!

Hundreds of wolves could be killed yet again in this year's aerial hunt in Alaska. But our partners at Defenders of Wildlife and Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund are working overtime to pass the Protect America's Wildlife (PAW) Act, federal legislation to end Alaska's unpopular, unnecessary and inhumane aerial wolf hunting program.

Thanks to the help of people just like you, Defenders has been able to secure nearly 50 cosponsors for the PAW Act - and your holiday wolf adoption can help keep the momentum going.

Your tax-deductible holiday wolf adoption will support Defenders of Wildlife's critical efforts to:

End aerial hunting in Alaska; Maintain vital federal protections for wolves in the Greater Yellowstone region; Support outreach to ranchers to prevent needless killing of wolves; and Help Defenders post rewards and bring to justice people who illegally kill wolves.

When you adopt a wolf today through Defenders, you can know that your tax deductible gift will fund effective, on-the-ground advocacy and conservation work to protect wolves.

To commemorate your contribution, Defenders will send that special someone on your holiday gift list a plush wolf, a personalized Certificate of Adoption suitable for framing and more. With your donation of $50 or more, you can also add a Kids Wildlife Activities Book - a fun way to teach children about our imperiled animals and pass on your conservation values to the next generation.

Please consider adopting a wolf today and make this holiday season special by helping Defenders of Wildlife stop aerial gunning and protect Alaska's wolves. Thank you for all of your work to protect wolves,

YoungCare2 and ThePetitionSite Team

P.S. You can make this holiday season more meaningful - and safer for wolves - when you adopt a wolf as a gift for a loved one. Adopt a wolf or one of 23 other animals on Defenders of Wildlife's secure website today!
