I had two ideas offhand on how to accomplish just that, and probably

could have come up with more. Some ideas would have been relatively

easy to try, while others would more require effort but be guaranteed

to succeed. There would also be ways to search the msg archives (with

some custom software maybe written by me) without repeatedly having

to click " search more "

I didn't say it wasn't. But obviously the files would have been more

useful if searchable.

I did read through them extensively about a year and a half ago.

While doing that, you might remember that I also volunteered to edit

them for typos and formatting and so forth. More than a few bore the

userID that I'd had back then: forbpinfo. I see that at least one

still does. However, I didn't memorize the files. So it would take

wading through them to find any particular info.

Ken: forgive me for not remembering you, but now that you jogged my memory, of course I know who you are (we now have a very large membership and it's hard to keep track of so many).

We of course welcome help. Unfortunately, as with many organizations that need volunteers, many people offer to help and then " disappear " before the job is done.

Please do come up with something better than our present very laborious way of searching for stuff.

To spare the entire list why don't we take it offlist?

If anyone else has ideas on making this a better site, please do e-mail me off list.
