Guest guest
About 3 yrs ago, my dad had a mitral valve replacement, and I called him everyday to see how he was doing, and I would visit him a few times a week right after he got out of surgery. This really picked up his outlook on life, knowing that we love and care about our fathers, or whoever needs help or healing. it helps them heal faster. I hope your father is doing much better now ;D My relationship /friendship with my Dad has grown strong over the past couple of yrs. and I feel very lucky they are my parents, and if it weren't for them, not only would I not be here, lol, but I wouldn't be ME : ) I'm A LOT like Dad,and A Lot like Mom,but,it's a good mix.:] I get to see them often, and talk to one of them at least once a day. About 2 weeks ago I told them, how Thankful I am that I had them and that I remember a very happy life growing up, with lots of wonderful moments. Not everyone can say that, I just really feel lucky. Guest guest
Hi Janey, my dad is doing much better. he plays tennis about 3 times a week, he is 71. He wants to get off the meds but the doc wont let him, that's too bad in my opinion. I have always been closer to my dad. They had their 50th anniversary last week, amazing! That they havent killed eachother yet! HA! I live about an hr away from them, they moved to my state a few yrs back, we didnt live near eachother for about 15 yrs, I have not been close to them for many reasons, though I always did love them. We dont see eye to eye, we have different views that sometimes get in the way. Although lately I have learned how to make the best of it b/s they are getting older and so am I, I have to make the peace. Thanks for sharing.
