Guest guest
thanks for the article Nelda, I hadnt realized that the Vegans felt that way about Honey and bees. " What we do know is that honey is easily used by the body - which is why it actually makes the body more alkaline and lowers blood sugar. " the arguments for and against, are pretty much what one wants to believe, b/s the evidence is clear that honey is the better source of sugar rather then processed, bleached, battery acid, one we all know as refined white sugar, which leaches calcium right out of your bone and teeth. when my kids gets sick I go for the honey, when my cats get sick I give them honey, it picks them right up and for the kids their throat feels alot better. Just my experience. Guest guest
I am all for an alkaline diet! Endive lettuce, sauerkraut, honey, anything made with apple cider vinegar, and more helps our systems to be alkaline. And if we have an alkaline system, we are less apt to get colds, viruses, and other illnesses. I have a friend who drinks a couple of ounces of apple cider vinegar in 6 ounces of water, in the morning and evening. This neutralizes the acid in her body, especially this time of the year, with all the goodies. One good thing about apple cider vinegar, is it is loaded with potassium. I do drink it also, just as not as faithfully, although I should. I just love the goodies at this time of the year! I know, I am sooo bad! Lol! But, I digress. I can only tell you when I eat honey, I feel better. I do make sure the honey I get is from my region, as this is healthier for me. I have an affinity with the honey bee, which is really a wasp. The only true bee, is the bumble bee. Guest guest
I figured you like honey. But, I do know that you see both sides. As we all should! Lol! Kind of hard at times, especially when we are passionate about something, like when I get on a kick about the politicians and their laws! Oh well. Thanks GentleRain for the article. I was going to send it, but you already had! Lol! Yeah, Sister, we do think a like! It's nice seeing articles posted by the group's members. I like it!!!! Have a super day! Guest guest
absolutely and well said Nelda! Honey is a wonderful and healthy sweetner. Joy, I will tell you truthfully, I have a hard time with vinegar, I only like balsamic, but sometimes use apple. I dont really like anything made with vinegar unless its for salad. I dislike sauerkraut, greg asked me to buy him some b/s its suppose to help with candida. I have to work on my disliking of things that are good for me. Guest guest
Honey, you are not alone on disliking foods that are good for us! I have to work hard at it all the time. I do not like sour foods, but know they are good for us. I can tolerate bitter, but not fond of them. But the more we eat of them, the better we like them.
