QUIETING THE THOUGHTS!

The human brain is a marvelous construction that acts

as a computer activated by the higher spiritual life force. Science sees the

brain as a computer too, but one that learns from all of the input it receives

from the time the human being is born and acts accordingly. Yes, the brain does

records all of the sights sounds and experiences it receives, but, just as the

electronic computer of your age, must be controlled by an outside force to

perform the functions required in life by direct instructions. The computer

industry has gained a little success in making computers that "think", but can

only use an elementary logic base for them to do so. The thoughts generated by

the brain are heaped in layers of categories, all seemingly competing with each

other for the attention of the conscious mind, which rules as to what category

will gain its concentration for any given moment. People who have never learned

the art of concentration go through life in rather a muddle, unable to focus

their thoughts and thus their goals in life. The information stored in the

computer brain is extremely beneficial to the person, for it gives all the

background knowledge that person needs to focus their mind on current thoughts.

When the conscious mind determines that it is ready to

rest the mind for awhile and sends a message to the brain computer to be quiet

for a certain time, there is an instant resistance to such a command! This is a

tremendous difference from an electronic computer, which will turn itself off

when directed. This is against all built-in directives for the human brain – it

is supposed to feed information constantly and seriously opposes commands to

cease its functions for any length of time. Human would be in a real pickle if

the brain turned itself off!

In order for the constant thoughts from the brain to

be silenced, the command has to be routed to the Subconscious Mind of the

individual. This is the spiritual/physical part of your own spiritual Higher

Self that sends messages to the brain to run all of the functions of the body,

including the habits you incur along the way, your likes and dislikes for

certain foods, your distaste for certain activities or people, etc. The

Subconscious Mind picks up this information from the Conscious Mind and sets it

into its memory banks to act as the focus for information being sent to the

brain. The Subconscious Mind is also the vehicle used by the Higher Self to

operate what you term Your Conscience, as it sends through the brain messages

to the Conscious Mind of warnings and feelings of right and wrong. When you

need to quiet the constant stream of thoughts that keep the Conscious Mind

informed and busy with life's concerns, the Subconscious Mind must be

instructed as to your need for silence for awhile. The first step, of course,

is to realize and accept that such a thing as a Subconscious Mind exists.

Hopefully, this prior explanation helps to see the logic of it.

Know what? You can actually communicate with your

Subconscious Mind! Why? Because it is connected to your Higher Self, your real

spiritual being. Give that part of you a name – any name. Address it by name,

get its attention as it busily goes about its business. You might get a "busy

signal" sometimes, but keep trying. When you feel you've made contact, and you

will, tell it that you need to quiet your thoughts for a short time in order to

find a peaceful space for rest and/or contemplation. It is best, for most

people, to specify a specific time you wish to be "off-line", so the

Subconscious may turn things on again when you are ready. Thank it, then just

relax.

Your Conscious Mind has to cooperate in this effort,

too. Make that determination to be quiet, by relaxing the body. Sit comfortably

or lie down. Send your focused thought to each part of the body at a time,

relaxing the muscles and the functions of each part. Doing this also helps to

relax the mind itself, as its thoughts are focused upon the relaxation. Soon

you will feel relaxed, your mind will be quiet, and a feeling of peace will

fill your being.

If you have specified a quiet period of only, let's say, 10

minutes, after that time has passed you will feel that you need to get up and

get busy again. Your Subconscious has a marvelous sense of time. You will feel

more relaxed and the problems and stress will seem to have calmed down, making

decision-making and life itself a lot easier to deal with. Being quiet is a

very necessary time out at this most stressful time of high frequencies.

Practice this method at least a few times a week to keep balanced and centered.

We are waiting in the silence.
