Guest guest
Everyone knows this, but do we do it often enough? Blessings, Joy Wonder Labs Newsletter Remember When Mama Would Say"Go Wash Your Hands" Washing is Simple Way to Prevent Infection.Adopt a "Washing Policy" for potential problem situations. There was a time when we thought washing was just to get the dirt off. Now we know it was and is much more important then that. There are many unseen dangers lurking on almost everything we touch and in many of the foods we eat (article on E-Coli outbreaks). They are called Microbes. Microbes are tiny organisms-too tiny to see without a microscope, yet they are abundant on Earth. They live everywhere, in air, soil, rock, and water. Some live happily in searing heat, while others thrive in freezing cold. Some microbes need oxygen to live, but others do not. These microscopic organisms are found in plants and animals as well as in the human body. Some microbes cause disease in humans, plants, and animals, while others are essential for a healthy life, and we could not exist without them. Indeed, the relationship between microbes and humans is delicate and complex. We know that some microbes keep us healthy while others can make us sick. Most microbes belong to one of four major groups: bacteria, viruses, fungi, or protozoa. A common word for microbes that cause disease is "germs." Some people refer to disease-causing microbes as "bugs." "I've got the flu bug," for example, is a phrase you may hear during the wintertime to describe an influenza viral infection.Proper washing at critical times is one way to eliminate "bugs" that cause colds, flu, stomach problems etc. Essential Times to Wash Before eating, especially when eating out. If you are going to a salad bar, then wash after you have taken your food to the table. Sounds silly, but how many times have you come home and felt sick a few hours after eating out or gotten really sick. Be a little observant and you will see people cough, sneeze, pick things off the floor etc. then use the same ladles, forks and spoons you will be using in a few minutes. Wash after handling meats at home, especially poultry. Washing after handling poultry can prevent transferring potential problems to other foods. Wash after touching and/or playing with animals. After coughing or sneezing into your hand. No need passing something you may have received from others. Also, if you see someone else cough and sneeze into their hand and shake yours then by no means put your hands around your face until washing. The main way that illnesses like colds and flu are spread is from person to person in respiratory droplets of coughs and sneezes. This is called "droplet spread." Wash before and after touching the sick. This is protection for both you and them. Obviously there are other times to wash. This does not cover them all but is a good start. Basically anywhere you handle something that other people handle is a good time to wash. Wash if you touch other people or their food or if other people touch you or your food.Wintertime is not the only time to be on guard. These measures should be practiced year round. Remember, adopt a "Washing Policy" that you maintain.Hand Washing: Article Free Continental U.S. Shipping on Orders Over $100 EDTA 625 MGFAST ABSORBINGEDTA DISODIUM CHELATE250 CapsulesRetail Price: $37.49You Save 60% Your Price: $14.99 SUBLINGUAL B12 Vitamin B-12, B6, Folic Acid and Biotin Vegetarian Formula250 TabletsRetail Price: $61.69You Save 70% Your Price: $18.50 CINNAMON BARK CAPSULESBotanical Extract605 MG Vegetarian Capsules350 Vegetarian CapsulesRetail Price: $49.95You Save 70% Your Price: $14.95 OMEGA-3 SUPER POTENCY EPA/DHA 300/200270 SoftgelsRetail Price: $39.99You Save 60% Your Price: $15.99 Leg Cramps with Quinine100 TabletsRetail Price: $9.57You Save 20% Your Price: $7.65 OMEGA-3 MARINE LIPID CONCENTRATE250 SoftgelsRetail Price: $21.75You Save 60% Your Price: $8.69 Co-Enzyme Q10 30 MG Q10 ULTRA120 CapsulesRetail Price: $35.99You Save 70% Your Price: $10.79 DRAW OUT SALVE Ichthammol Salve 20%1 ozRetail Price: $5.29You Save 25% Your Price: $3.95 GLUCOSAMINE CHONDROITIN 3X Triple Strength120 TabletsRetail Price: $34.95You Save 60% Your Price: $13.
