Guest guest
Welcome to the group, ! In my experience, most reputable chiropractors refer people with complex situations like yours directly to appropriate MDs or osteopathic physicians. I would urge you to shop around for the best pain management group you can find. There are all kinds of interventions available for pain relief these days. I'm sorry to say it took me about ten years to find the help I needed. I now have an implanted pump that infuses pain medication directly into my spine via a catheter. It has been a godsend. I need to get it refilled every 3-6 months, and I am very happy with the group that refills and maintains it. I go to a large pain clinic at a big teaching hospital. I see a different " pain fellow " each time, but all of them are Board-certified anesthesiologists. Unfortunately not all pain management facilities are effective or helpful; some seem to have the mission of getting everyone off pain meds. You have to be kind of relentless in pursuing the best kind of help for yourself. Don't give up even if the search is initially discouraging. No one should have to live with the degree of pain you endure every day. It is your right to get the best possible pain relief. I sure hope you are attending to the flatback syndrome at the same time. Assuming your flatback is at least moderately severe and progressive, you should at least be considering skilled revision surgery. Here again -- as you may have gleaned already from reading some of the posts to this group (and you can read more than a decade of these in our message archives!), it is crucial to find a qualified revision surgeon -- sometimes easier said than done. In any case, we're glad to have you as a member, and we hope the group proves useful to you. Best, > > Hello everyone. My name is tanya and i def have flatback.
