Apology for LinkedIn mailing

It has come to my attention that the LinkedIn site recently sent out numerous contact-requests in my name.  I did not knowingly consent to any such mailing. It apparently went out to everyone on my list of email contacts.

I regret that you may have been bothered by inappropriate invitations to become my contact at LinkedIn. If you are a personal friend or business associate, or are anyone with whom I have corresponded about mutually interesting and engaging matters, please do consider being my contact at LinkedIn.

If you are an officer of a professional organization, a distant acquaintance from an online forum, a literary contest administrator, a customer service representative, or any other inappropriate recipient of a LinkedIn solicitation, please forgive the intrusion. I will make every effort to ensure that this does not happen again.
