Guest guest
Yes, I may have heard of it. A member of the other group, Martha, had something called radioablation done. It may have targeted scar tissue - or if I'm mistaken, then it was targeting nerves instead of scar tissue. I knew about it, because even though we hadn't ever emailed before, she lives near Chicago and was kind enough to visit me in the hospital when I my revision surgeries. She was in the beginning process of getting things set up for it, and then we lost touch. Last I heard, she was doing rather well. But I haven't heard directly from her on the specifics of either the procedure itself or how she feels it affected her. > > Hi and Everyone, > > Has anyone heard of the use of ultrasound to detect internal scar tissue and enable a doc to break it up with injections (of Lidocaine for pain but also of something else to break up the adhesion)? > > Many thanks! > Andy Stanton > Boulder CO >
Guest guest
Hi, Andy --No, this is news to me. I fear you are in the Information Vanguard once again and may have to enlighten the rest of us about this. It does sound promising.Best,>> Hi and Everyone,> > Has anyone heard of the use of ultrasound to detect internal scar tissue and enable a doc to break it up with injections (of Lidocaine for pain but also of something else to break up the adhesion)?> > Many thanks!> Andy Stanton> Boulder CO>
