My chol. reading used to be about 160 (I don't eat red meat or dairy).......but now it is something like 129! also with a good ratio. C. Guest guest
Shari, I think Gleevec lowered my husband's cholesterol. His was never below 200 and now it's 160 with a good ratio of good to bad. The only thing that's changed is his having CML and taking Gleevec. Maybe Gleevec will be the new Lipitor! Maybe gleevec does lower a persons cholesterol. My Dr. doesn't want to do anymore tests right now but if I have anymore fluttering or rapid heartbeat I'm supposed to come in a get a monitor to wear. I hope everyone in the group are doing well, and I want to welcome any new members to the group. Guest guest
Hi , I think you might have been responding to Adriennes message and not mine. I am the one who takes Gleevec in my family. Have a nice day! Shari -- In , Metaksa <tmetaksa@a...> wrote: > Shari, > Is your husband still taking cholesterol medication? Guest guest
, If you were responding to me, the answer is that my husband has never taken cholesterol lowering drugs. His cholesterol just dropped dramatically when he started taking Gleevec. Sorry if my reference to Lipitor was confusing. It was a feable attempt at levity.
