Guest guest
Hi, My name is Michele . I live in The Bronx, New York, USA. I am 41 years old. I am an adult with challenges. I have several mental illnesses and several chronic physical conditions. I feel shy, perhaps ashamed to mention them all: I don't want to seem a complete mess. Anyway, here goes: I have a genetic disease called Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia, type 1 (MEN, 1) or Wermer's syndrome. This disease causes tumors to grow in various endocrine glands in the body. These glandular tumors make the body go haywire, and cause a bunch of other diseases. As the result of MEN, type 1, I have: diabetes high blood pressure anemia chronic kidney disease (also other causes) osteoporosis arthritis High stomach acid levels, which caused my IBS In addition, I have: Steatohepatitis cirrhosis of the liver These are due in part to my upbringing. My father was drug and alcohol addicted, and he gave me drugs and alcohol from an early age. In addition, I grew up and continued to abuse myself with these substances. I have been 14 years Clean and Sober. My psychiatric diagnoses are: Major Depression Chronic PSTD Psychosis, NOS Autism, NOS ADHD I am being treated for everything but the Autism and the ADHD. Being as I am an adult, I am not sure what can be done,if anything, to help me with these issues. It may simply be too late to effect a change. I have not been treated by the doctor, but I have read about his work, and it sounds excellent. Guest guest
Michele, I think about the only kind of thing that you can really do is to find things you like to do and try to do them as much as you can. Easier said than done when there is too much on your plate... Try for small things and it does help! Hugs and Hope, Sherry **************Start the year off right. Guest guest
Congratulations Michele on your last 14 years of being clean and sober. You didn't mention if you've tried or been involved in receiving benefits from Svetlana's reflex integration work. I truly expect that you would benefit greatly from this work. Hopefully you can find someone in your area that you can connect with or from whom you can take one of Svetlana's classes. I don't have any diagnosis and yet every so often I find that in a given pattern in my life, I have a reflex that needs some integration and I always feel so much freer and more peaceful when I have done the work. Glad you joined the group. I'll keep you in my prayers, I know you'll find techniques that will help you. Joni from MINN Hi, I want to introduce myself Hi, My name is Michele .
