Guest guest
I am not familiar with everyone in CO. I know Connie Jordan is a practitioner in Monument, CO but don't know how close that is to you. Connie's email is cgjordan@.... I know Pamela's been very busy traveling, perhaps her inbox is full or something. You could also try iampcurlee@.... ValOn Fri, Mar 4, 2011 at 6:27 AM, david bukovinsky <dbuk02@...> wrote: Hi. We've been corresponding with Pamela Curlee in Colorado to try and schedule an assessment of our son [7yr old ASD] for the Masgutova method, but in the last 2 days emails to her have been bouncing... She mentioned a specialist located in Castle Rock, CO. Does anyone have any info or contact information by any chance? We are planning on sending our OT to training in June, but are trying to start trying the program ahead of time using the educational materials on Dr. Masgutova's web site, but it would be immensely useful to learn from someone that is already trained in the meantime. Also, if anyone has other experiences with this method in children with ASD and good/bad observations would be useful to know ahead of making what will be a substantial investment...ThanksDave

Guest guest
Hi Dave, My name is Steve Best. I am a special education teacher that is familiar with the Masgutova method. " wanna testify" I have been involved with Special Education for about 30 years. I have not tried everything coming down that is out there. I have been studing the Masgutova method for a little over 3 years and have taken Dynamic and Postural Reflexes, Tactile Integration, and Life Long Reflexes and attended a Family Conference in Kelowna. I have never experienced such a profound impact on the children I work with nor the level of professionalism in a group of dedicated specialist. It seems that progress is on a case by case basis but in my class I have a child 5 yrs old ASD that went from little or no eye contact very few words, lots of humming and crying to a loving, learning child with a vocabulary of over 100 words, outside speech therapist reevaluation stated gains of 5 months in 6 months time (I had only been working with him for 5 months) He had only made 5 months gains in the previous 2 years. If you can look back in older posts you will see many parents that have their children making noticable gains. What I have gained as a teacher has been invaluable and the cost ... well how can I put a price on a child that see's me in the hall in the morning and runs to greet me. Best of luck on a new journey, P.S. I am not sure where Pamela is right now but you may use the contact us link on the web site and see if they can point you in the right direction. We were in the postural and dynamic reflexes class together at Pamelas' a few years back. I was reviewing the information presented for new updates as I had taken it some years before with Svetlana. I use the information in my office practice in Evergreen. Perhaps a person your client could contact would be Tam Hill who lives in Castle Rock. Her number is 303-814-9262.
