Guest guest
HI,I am hearing more and more about using IM with iLs. I was looking on iLs's website and saw they are having a conference that I was considering attending and using IM with iLs is one of the sessions. This is what it said: , OT – Occupational Therapist with a background in pediatrics, traumatic brain injury and functional skills retraining. Ms. is both an iLs and Interactive Metronome trainer and will be discussing integrating the two interventions. This is the link to the conference:http://www.integratedlistening.com/ils-annual-conference-2011/ILs comes with a movement program kit that includes a cool hang from the ceiling ball, other balls, bean bags and a balance board. It has a nice "playbook" that gives you movement activities to do. I used their movement program somewhat for myself, but also did a lot of my listening while talking walks, riding on stationary bike, or just doing housework. For my kids we did all sorts of different activities including OT's type things. We had the most fun when we both stood on balance boards and we threw the beanbags back and forth while listing items verbally such as..words that began with a certain letter, or favorite foods etc..any list we liked.I love having my iPod at home and even though we originally used the program a couple years ago we still listen to a program here and there depending on what is going on, if we had ear infections or if my son has a growth spurt. Wishing you all the best, MNRI and ILSPosted by: "Amy Butcher" amybutcher@...Wed Jun 15, 2011 6:32 pm (PDT)After reading many of your posts, I checked into ILS. I've spoken to atherapist who uses it and Interactive Metronome (IM). She has suggesteddoing ILS at the same time we do some of the Masgutova exercises. I mean, simultaneously. Has anyone tried that? Or has anyone done IM along withMNRI? Do you have any opinions about either one?-- Amy********* 29:11*********"The only limits one has, are the limits one sets."
