I know I've announced this before, but I want to remind everyone once again that you do not have to go looking all over the Web for Mina's articles! All of 's writings are on file here at the Feisty website. Just go to any page at the Feisty site, such as the home page, or this page I am on right now in the Messages section -- /post?referer=/group//messages & use_rte=1 --and click on "Files." A list of flatback-related reference files will come up, including one with Mina's name in the title. Click on that one, and, voila! -- you will have all of 's articles at your fingertips.Thank you to for placing these in the public domain, and thank you to Llewyn for saving them and sending them to me for inclusion at our site. Please bear in mind that was the earliest person to write about flatback on the Web, back in the 1990s. Some of what she said back then has been modified by medical experience in the intervening years. For instance, to the best of my knowledge there are not two distinct kinds of flatback, as she posited back then. But a great deal of what she wrote is still worthwhile and informative for us to read and re-read today. Many of us owe her a very great debt. She steered us away from charlatans and surgical "experimenters" eager for guinea pigs, persuading us to do whatever it took to get ourselves to one of the very few qualified revision surgeons available at the time. And she did all this during an era when the very topic of flatback syndrome was still almost totally hush-hush, both in Web scoliosis forums and in public presentations by spinal surgeons.
