Guest guest
MNRI® Archetype Movement Integration With Dr. Svetlana Masgutova March 12-14, 2011 9:00-6:00 Bloomington, MN Participants of this live MNRI® course will attend all 24 hours and satisfactorily participate in both the course discussion and hands-on supervised practice. In the Archetype Movements for Development and Learning -MNRI® course participants will learn about the concepts of infant reflexes-natural movements, primary movements and repatterning to integrate dysfunctional and non-productive patterns. Primary movements and reflexes expressed by every individual are genetic motor “programs†of human development. They are essential to survival, especially during periods of stress and danger. They are also the fundament for neurodevelopment for intentional and learned motor and cognitive skills. During certain events that occur in our life, a child or adult may experience trauma that affects the ability to use those primary movements effectively. Archetype movements define the future motor development and connections between different aspects of our being (coordination systems, movement skills, motivational, emotional, personal, and intellectual). Participants will: Investigate the primary and natural movements to and discover: The Archetypes of movement development including: body-center radiation, mouth-spine rotation, body-righting movement, homologous, homolateral, cross-lateral movements, intentional movements/differentiated movements. This workshop is open to all professionals and families that work with children and adults with challenges (TBI, Autism, Down’s Syndrome, CP, ADHD, or other neurological challenges.)
