Guest guest
Hi Everyone I am hoping for some feedback and ideas for gymnastics classes for children and possibly adults with challenges that our local club is trying to start. I will be the instructor of these classes and I have taken the Postural and Dynamic and also the Dysfunctional Masgutova classes. This is a new learning experience for both our club and myself as I haven't taught a class with challenges before and our club has been unable to accomodate the children and adults before this. I have spoken to some gymnastic clubs that have classes like this. I am wondering how to integrate some of the Masgutova moves into a fun setting. This is not one on one therapy. I know there have been some on this forum that have taught physical ed. (gym) and would like to hear from anyone who has any ideas. We are hoping to offer classes to young school children, older school children, and adults and possibly adults in wheelchairs (hoping to get them moving on the floor) -Do you use any of the archetype movements in warmup? -Anything that I should watch out for and be aware of, I have heard that depth perception is a common issue? -ideas of class outline If anyone is willing to speak to me one on one please send me your info so I can contact you. Thank you for any responses. Yolande
