Guest guest
Hi, After a really stellar response to revision surgery done last May, I appear to be back in crisis. I had noticed increasing pain over a couple of weeks and then experienced excrutiating pain Thurs. I called Dr. Kebaish, who told me to go to the ER, then waited until Fri. before going, in hopes it would improve. The Duke ER did MRI's and X rays before discharging me with a diagnosis of hairline fracture at L1, based not on the studies but on my symptoms. I noticed the pain subsided when I lay on the hard, flat MRI table and then after getting home, I found I could make this happen by lying on a hard floor with my legs up. Clearly something is unstable. I am flying to Hopkins tomorrow at Dr. Kebaish's request. I'm flying because I fear the vibrations in the car, since my spine seems to go out with the least movement. I'm pretty scared but hope something can be done to fix this fairly quickly as my 15yo daughter was to have surgery this week and needs her mom. Has anyone else had this happen?
