Just wanted to update you on my leg pains.

I got the results from my MRI...nothing but a slight

bulge in the L5. I then went to see a neurologist and again

nothing to wrong that would cause such pain. Monday I have an

EMG to see if the pain is comming from the nerves.

The good news is I'm in perfect health so far except for the

leukemia. The bad news is I still don't know what's causing

the Pain. I'm not complaining cause I'm still kicking lol.

I somehow feel it's in the muscles because of one of the meds. I

could be wrong. I still have muscle cramps because of the Gleevec but

not as bad.

Well I'll post again when I find out what's,what. I am also

having a fish test, as much as I hate bmb's, I think they're more

infomative.

, I know how you feel about getting to know everyone on

our support group. When I first started in 1999,Dane was one of the

first persons I got to know, then a wonderful lady in Indiana. She

passed shortly after, and others since. You do get attached to

everyone because they are family, and it is sad when we lose a

special one.

Hi Kay,

As a (recently retired) physical therapist who worked for years with

various age college students with leg pains.......I would say that you

don't have to have a large bulge on an MRI for it to be causing a problem.

What they are looking for is something to surgically correct.........

Once the workup is done. I would suggest that you ask for a referral

to PT and see if that is helpful.....not treatments for pain relief but

to look at your posture, movement patterns, etc......show you some

appropriate stretches, etc. This might really be helpful.

You might call around and try to find someone who is McKenzie trained,

which is specifically for disc types of back problems and see if that helps.

Or someone who is a manual physical therapist....in and orthopedic

PT dept.
