Guest guest
Good grief, mJ! I don't have an answer but I hope someone here does. More later, L [ ] bleeding, high neutrophils, and low lympocytes Hi: I did have a bleed last night, and the hematologist has me on Amicar for ten more days. I noted on the blood tests that neutrophils were quite high and lymmphocytes quite low. Would anyone know if this is related to gum infection and bleeding from the periodontal work. I finally feel optimistic that I'll get better but I feel quite beat up with all of this! Thanks MJ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Hi MJ, Neutrophils are infection fighters so if you have (or had) a gum infection, yes it would be normal to have a higher neutrophil count. Lymphocytes are more involved with viral infections so I can't see how they would be related to your bleeding/gum problems. What are your platelets these days?...... I could see how they could be low with a bleeding problem. Hope it clears up, Tracey > Hi: > > I did have a bleed last night, and the hematologist has me on Amicar > for ten more days.
