Hi there everybody, I have a new client a

3 year old child with cp doesn’t crawl or move. The Dr. wants to

give him Bottox injections because his hips are sometimes dislocating and

they want avoid surgery. Is there something we learned to help with the

tonicity of muscles in this area. Did anyone ever hear Svetlana comment

on this problem. Thanks Shulamis

I've had that question, too, and not known to ask it.

Re: Question about classes

Hi Donna,

The Children with Challenges class is different from the Integration

of Dysfunctional and Pathological Reflexes class. Where as the

Dysfunctional looked at advanced techniques in regards to reflexes

from a hypertonicity/hypotonicity/a-reflexive standpoint, the

Children

with Challenges class examines categories of challenges and how

dysfunctional reflexes might be presented in regards to each challenge

and how they are affected from a muscle and standpoint perspective.

Then the course looks at working with the most common reflexes found

to be non-integrated with each challenge. It will probably take a

look more closely at symptoms of each challenge, how it would look,

and how to address the reflexes based on her most current research of

what has been discovered about each challenge. Both classes are

applicable to these challenges of course, but are covered differently.

Also, Svetlana tells me that she will discuss more about facilitating

and opposing reflexes and how to work with them.

I hope that makes sense. Please let me know if you have other questions.

Val
