For those wondering about how to pronounce my name. I pronounce it Lou-Wayne, which is more the English pronunciation. It is a Welsh name and there is no Welsh in my family, though my ancestors do come from counties and countries surrounding Wales so I guess I do come by the name honestly enough.

I know that my condition has deteriorated since I had my last MRI and enhanced CAT scan, which the clinic has requested, but it will give them an idea, at least, and they were taken at the time I was qualifying for Disability (which I got on the first try). , it doesn't surprise me that you had forgotten how long I've been waiting. You had a lot going on and through during that time-frame, too. I've had a lot happening, too, so I think the timing was meant to be, as I don't think I could have handle the other events at the same time. There are still things happening with my mother and brother, but they are getting more settled, and the support group for them is getting stronger. My view is that things happen for a reason, especially when they do happen (or the time-frame).

Dear Llewyn,

I just want to join in congratulating you on your long-awaited appointment. I have muchos gripes and critiques re our U.S. health care system but must say that You Canadians, much as I admire your own system, do have to be incredibly patient, it seems. I could not believe, until you reminded us, just how long you had been waiting!

Anyway . . . I will be thinking of you and wishing you the best possible experience as you confer with this doc at last!

Llewyn, this question is on a completely different subject and is just a TRIFLE belated (considering how long we have known each other on line), but could you write out some phonetic explanation of how your name is pronounced? I would really like to be pronouncing it correctly in my head, if that makes sense. Thanks !

All my best, as always,
