Guest guest
Cheryl, Thanks for that article. I have been saying the same thing for a few years now. The only difference between some of the other cancer drugs and Gleevec, is that they are only given for about 6 months, with some exceptions. Gleevec is for life. They have now extended our lives by up to 25 years, and we must pay these high prices the entire time. What happens to those of us that do not have socialized medicine, or insurance that will refuse to pay once we have reached our limit. --------------------------------- Sell on Auctions - No fees. Guest guest
Hi , I often think about you because, if I remember correctly, you were trying the IFN, IM G-CSF combo out in an effort to be off all drugs by the time you retire. Finding a way to completly erradicate MRD is something I think about on a daily basis. I've lived the nightmare of the backlash that can happen with private drug plans even though we have socialized medicine here in Canada. Fortunately I had a plan B, not everyone does. The bottom line is that more people need to be educated about the new way of " living " with cancer. This article does underscoe the importance of finding a cure for this disease.
