I am glad to see another person posting here.

Rob's Mom has cml which was why he started the group. Don't

know if you caught the connection or not....Laquita is Rob's Mom.

There are some of us old timers around. I was dx about 6.5 years

ago and have been on IM for 5 years, with Dr. Druker. I enjoy

answering medical questions for people when I can...I spent about

30 years as a physical therapist, most of that at a University working

with college students. I am sure there will be others on the list also

to share their experience and knowledge. Many of us have long term

friends from the various cml lists.

Yesss, Maui Nanc, later I did get the connection and posted in the

group the following:

Hey Group:

I don't post very often, earlier last night I did and now I feel I

must. I was going to unsubscribe to the group, having to go through

the scams, spams, ads, and explicit posts. I decided to skip the

ads, junk mail and posts that don't concern me in the same manner I

delete spam from my email and file junk mail from my mailbox.

Amid all this madness, a breath of fresh air in the form of a post

from Laquita was there. I had been told that Rob's father had CML

and was deceased. Someone had commented in the posts that he didn't

have our 'bug' as I call CML. Now I understand his devotion to his

mother is what prompt him to begin the site. I'm sure he could have

found another endeavor in which to involve himself so passionately.

One to which he would not have to deal with the turmoil that's going

on now in the group.

Thanx for 'turning me on' to the group, I joined at the right

time. Now I have 4 CML groups from which to gather information and

support to arm myself in my battle against my bug.

Thanx again Laquita for your letter of encouragement. I pray 8 years

from now I will be able to post a similar message to CML survivors

who are at my stage of survival. God bless you and your son, I know

that I am truly blessed to have found your group.
