If you always have platelets in the normal range then it is probably not a problem.......but some have lower than normal platelets on IM. C. Guest guest
It's not so funny but once your getting 'better' we want/crave normalcy and so we (I) often forget to take my Gleevec. Once I went an entire week (I'm recollecting). I don't think it hurt at all.... Margot M <redbudln@...> wrote:I have been on Gleevec since June 01. Since then I have only missed two doses of 400 mg each. The first time I simply forgot to take it. When I remembered it, it was time for the next day's dose. The second time was when I had a bleeding eye (with a small amount of blood actually running out of my eye) and my local oncologist asked me to stay off it for a week. I saw an eye doctor who told me it was nothing serious, so I went back on Gleevec after only being off it for one day. By the way, I also had a colonoscopy two years ago, but stayed on Gleevec before, during, and after. Margot
