Guest guest
We just brought Sheila home from the hospital. She had her PDA repaired, because of her clotting and pituitary problems she was hospitalized for the repair. She ended up doing well. She did have to receive a transfusion of clotting factors and she ended up with 2 coils to get the PDA completely closed, but she did very well. She maintained a very positive, sunny outlook throughout the hospitalization, except for about 1/2 hour the evening after her repair was done. She decided that when daddy was leaving she was really supposed to go home with him. It was okay for me to stay at the hopsital for her, but she really needed to go home because and Colleen were missing her! She was well liked by all the staff--quite the hit of the PICU step down unit. We took her on vacation the week before the procedure--this was good for me as I managed to completely set the hospitalization aside during the week away. nancy
