Subject: UPSNDOWNS-SIBS Chat INSTRUCTIONS!

Hello everyone,

Here is what you need to know to get into the sibs-chats . So if you want to

get to the chat tomorrow night at 7:00pm est. follow the instructions below.

To get into the room through mIRC (just ask your parents if you have it or not,

it is a large chat database) just add a new server. The contents to this will

be as follows: Description Upsndowns, IRC Server disabilities-us.com, Port 667,

and leave the groups space blank. Now click Add. This will create the

Upsndowns server (the one that the people with mIRC will use to chat), just

click on Upsndowns (should be at the bottom of the list of servers) and then

click connect to server.

By now you should be connected to the Upsndowns server and a window will

have popped up giving you a list of rooms to go in. Just type in the space at

the top of the window #upsNdowns then click add. The new room will pop up in

the list so just click on it and click on Join. You are now in the Sibs Chat.

Well, for those of you that don't have mIRC installed on your computer. You

can either go http://www.mirc.com/get.html there to download mIRC. Just scroll

down the United States list and find the place closest to where you live (unless

you live in another country that is). If you don't feel like installing mIRC

then there is an alternate way to get into the chat. I recommend mIRC since you

can do emotes (like slaps n around with a large trout, and other

similar things, hehe), while you are in the alternate room though you can't see

any of the emotes nor can you make any of your own. The following is how to get

into the chat through the alternate " backdoor " of sorts.

First you should go to the irc log in site

http://www.disabilities-us.com/irc.html This is a link off of the official

Upsndowns Website. It automatically logs you onto the mIRC server but

through your browser. You should be at a screen that has a box with the words

Nickname, Server, Port, and Channel. Just type in whatever nickname you would

like to have. Leave the Server and Port areas alone and change the Channel to

#upsNdowns and click Connect. If a new screen pops up with the buttons Join

Channel, List Channels, WhoIs, and PrvMsg To at the bottom then you are almost

in the chat. Just click on Join Channel and enter then name #upsNdowns and

click OK. You have now gone through the back door into the sibs chat!

There are three chat moderators that are usually there unless something

comes up or you forget about it *cough*Katey*cough* not mentioning any names

though, hehe. Those three are all members of the sibs list that are there to

make sure everyone has a good time and that none of the rules that were set by

the adult moderators of the list are broken. The three moderators are: Katey,

n, and /me (sometimes on as Goku or SSGoku, hehe don't ask).
